UN R168 change reports — Global Real Driving Emissions (Global RDE)
UN Regulation No. 168 (ECE R168) — Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of light duty passenger and commercial vehicles with regards to real driving emissions (RDE).
01 series
- 01 series — Supplement 1
New paragraph 9.3.5. says that for vehicles of categories X and Y, all tests in this Regulation must be conducted and all respective requirements fulfilled. RDE tests must use dedicated methods, ensuring that the test accurately reflects normal driving patterns.

The Regulation now has three levels of approval, each with its own scope: Level 1A (4-phase WLTC), Level 1B (3-phase WLTC) and Level 2 (both).

- 00 series — Supplement 1
Under paragraph 6.1., final RDE emissions are calculated for a 4-phase WLTC, and for vehicles with a diesel engine also for a 3-phase WLTC.
