“H” point procedure replaced by a reference to M.R.1 (Annex 3)

Annex 3 no longer contains the procedure to find the “H” point and the actual torso angle. A new footnote says that the procedure is described in Addendum 6 of Mutual Resolution No. 1 (M.R.1), document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/1101/Amend.5. The deleted text gave the purpose, the definitions, the requirements and the measurement procedure. A deleted footnote covered seats other than front seats where the “H” point could not be determined with the 3-D H machine or procedures. For these seats, the competent authority could, at its discretion, use the manufacturer's “R” point as a reference.

The procedure is described in Addendum 6 of Mutual Resolution No. 1 (M.R.1) (document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/1101/Amend.5); see https://unece.org/transport/vehicle-regulations/wp29/resolutions
The procedure described in this annex is used to establish the "H" point location and the actual torso angle for one or several seating positions in a motor vehicle and to verify the relationship of measured data to design specifications given by the vehicle manufacturer.

Footnotes with references to SAE, ISO Standard 6549-1980 and ISO Standard 4130, 1978 are also deleted.
