UN Regulation No. 92 (ECE R92) — Uniform provisions concerning the approval of non-original replacement exhaust silencing systems (NORESS) for vehicles of categories L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5 with regard to sound emission.

Under paragraph 6.3.1., the NORESS and its components must be designed and constructed considering tamper proofing measures.

Under new paragraph 6.3.4.2., a NORESS with “different modes or variable geometries” must perform ASEP tests even where ASEP was not part of the vehicles' type approval.
