UN R145 Supplement 2 (00 series) · UNECE Regulation No. 145 (ECE R145) — Uniform provisions concerning the approval of vehicles with regard to ISOFIX anchorage systems ISOFIX top tether anchorages and i-Size seating positions.
UN R145 — Supplement 2 to the 00 series of amendments
Supplement 1 → 2
- What changed
- The definition of “vehicle type” no longer lists the characteristics of any restraint system component that influences the forces applying to the anchorages.
- The definition no longer refers to the dynamic test of the anchorages strength or to the static test of the vehicle floor strength.
- Why
- Paragraph 2.2. was mainly copied from the 07 series of amendments to UN Regulation 14, including the parts related to safety belt anchorages.
- The deleted parts are not relevant for UN Regulation No. 145, which only deals with ISOFIX/i-Size, and they are confusing.
Q1What changed1 change
Definition of “vehicle type” (para. 2.2.)
The definition of “vehicle type” no longer lists the characteristics of any restraint system component that influences the forces applying to the anchorages. Before this supplement, the definition named “especially the load limiter function” for these components. The definition also no longer refers to the dynamic test of the anchorages strength or to the static test of the vehicle floor strength. The vehicle floor strength in case of i-Size seating positions stays in the definition.
