UN Regulation No. 29 (ECE R29) — Uniform provisions concerning the approval of vehicles with regard to the protection of the occupants of the cab of a commercial vehicle.

The Regulation now accounts for vehicles of category X and does not apply to vehicles of category Y.

Annex 4 now refers to Addendum 6 of M.R.1 for the “H” point procedure, instead of Annex 1 to R.E.3.

During the application of the load, the loading device may now deviate by not more than 5° in z-direction, in each direction. The reference is the parallel plane to the x-y plane of the chassis.

Tests A, B and C on a cab mounted on the vehicle now apply as described in the general instructions for securing (paragraph 1.).
