UN R100 change reports — Electric power trained vehicles
UN Regulation No. 100 (ECE R100) — Uniform provisions concerning the approval of vehicles with regard to specific requirements for the electric power train.
05 series
- 05 series — Supplement 1
New section 0. says that the Regulation is amended to account for vehicles of categories X and Y.
- 05 series — Base text
Thermal propagation safety is shown by physical testing to new Annex 9K or by risk management analysis. Risk management analysis is used when physical testing is deemed not possible without compromising the REESS safety design. A REESS designed to be charged only by an on-vehicle energy source, up to 2 kWh (Ah × nominal voltage), needs only risk management analysis.
04 series
- 04 series — Supplement 3
When the isolation resistance monitoring system detects an isolation resistance below the requirements, a category O trailer must warn the driver of the towing vehicle.
- 04 series — Supplement 2
New paragraphs 3.4. and 3.5. cover confidential information and put the documentation in two parts.
- 04 series — Supplement 1
In paragraphs 1.1. and 1.2., “categories M and N” becomes “categories M, N and O”.
- 04 series — Base text
New paragraph 5.5.1. requires labels, as specified in Annex 10, on M2/N2 and M3/N3 vehicles equipped with a high voltage electric powertrain. This requirement is considered satisfied if the requirement of paragraph 7.1.7. of UN Regulation No. 134 is satisfied (para. 5.5.1.1.).
03 series
- 03 series — Supplement 6
When the isolation resistance monitoring system detects an isolation resistance below the requirements, a category O trailer must warn the driver of the towing vehicle.
- 03 series — Supplement 5
New paragraphs 3.4. and 3.5. cover confidential information and put the documentation in two parts.
- 03 series — Supplement 4
In paragraphs 1.1. and 1.2., “categories M and N” becomes “categories M, N and O”.
- 03 series — Supplement 3
The crush force is applied horizontally and in the direction of travel of the REESS, and horizontally and perpendicular to it.
- 03 series — Supplement 2
Paragraphs 6.4.1.1. and 6.4.2.1.1. now refer to UN Regulation No. 137 (02 series of amendments or later) for frontal impact, not the 01 series.
- 03 series — Supplement 1
The “Specific voltage condition” definition in paragraph 2.42. has a new Note 2. For pulsating DC voltages (alternating voltages without change of polarity), the DC threshold must be applied.
02 series
- 02 series — Supplement 5
Annex 8D, paragraph 3.2.1., now names two force directions: horizontally in the direction of travel of the REESS, and horizontally perpendicular to it.
