Q1What changed7 changes
Lamps that remain switched ON with secondary driving beams (para. 6.1.7.)
Paragraph 6.1.7. has a new rule for vehicles with secondary driving-beam(s) approved to UN Regulations Nos. 113 or 149. At least one of the listed lamps must then remain switched ON with the secondary driving beam(s). The list has the passing-beam(s), a primary driving beam approved to UN Regulations Nos. 113 or 149, and a Class A or B driving-beam. In this list, the Class A or B driving-beam is one approved to the 01 and subsequent series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 149.
New item (j): headlamp Class C or V (para. 6.2.1.)
Paragraph 6.2.1. has a new item (j): “Class C or V of the 01 and subsequent series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 149”. In item (i), the full stop at the end is now a semicolon. The classes in item (i) do not change.
“Switched ON” instead of “illuminated” (para. 6.1.7.)
In paragraph 6.1.7., the passing-beam(s) may remain “switched ON” with the driving-beam(s). Before this supplement, the text said “illuminated”. The words “passing-beam(s)” and “driving-beam(s)” now have a hyphen.
