UN R125 — Supplement 2 to the 02 series of amendments

Supplement 1 → 2

Adopted at the WP.29 188th sessionEntry into force 2023-06-05
What changed
  • Paragraph 1.1. now says that this UN Regulation applies to the 180° forward field of vision of drivers of category M1 and N1 vehicles. Before this supplement, paragraph 1.1. named category M1 vehicles.
  • Paragraph 1.3. now also names category N1 vehicles, both where the driver is on the left and where the driver is on the right.
Why
  • GRSG adopted the proposal on aligning the scope of the 02 series of amendments to the 01 series of amendments.
  • At its 122nd session, GRSG adopted the scope extension to vehicle category N1 for both the 01 and 02 series of amendments. But this scope extension was not handed over to the 02 series of amendments. The proposal corrects this error.

GRSG at its 122nd session adopted the scope extension for both the 01 and 02 series of amendments.
