Supplement 1 → 2
- What changed
- The information document in Annex 1 now asks for more REESS data in paragraphs 3.3.2. to 3.3.2.8.
- New paragraphs 4. to 8.3. ask for data on the fuel cell, fuses, power wiring, electric shock protection and the power circuit.
- New paragraphs 9. and 9.1. ask for a description of the hydrogen system in the energy absorption zone.
- Why
- The change updates the information document with information on the REESS, the electrical system and the hydrogen system.
- The proposer found that these topics were not well defined and would not be documented sufficiently.
Q1What changed41 changes
REESS data in the information document (para. 3.3.2.)
Paragraph 3.3.2. now asks for REESS data if the vehicle has a REESS. It asks for the trade name and mark, the types of cells and a description of the REESS. It also asks for the electrical specification, the gas combination rate, the installation, the type of thermal management and the electronic control. Before this supplement, paragraph 3.3.2.4. asked for the position of the REESS.
Fuel cell and electrical system data (paras. 4. to 8.3.)
New paragraphs 4. to 4.6. ask for fuel cell data, if any and where relevant. Paragraphs 5. to 6.1. ask for the type of fuse, circuit breaker and power wiring harness, if any. Paragraph 7.1. asks for a description of the protection concept against electric shock. Paragraphs 8. to 8.3. ask for more power circuit data, only when no fuse or circuit breaker is present or activated during the impact.
Hydrogen system data (paras. 9. and 9.1.)
New paragraph 9. asks for data on the hydrogen system and its components, if applicable. Paragraph 9.1. asks for a description of the hydrogen components in the energy absorption zone of the vehicle.
