- GRSP, 78th session (December 2025)
Reasons
Reasons given by the proposer: Experts from France, in informal document GRSP-78-22-Rev.2. GRSP adopted GRSP-78-22-Rev.2 at its 78th session and asked the secretariat to submit it to the June 2026 sessions of WP.29 and AC.1 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/78, para. 36).
In the original version of UN GTR No. 13, the number of cycles for initial pressure cycle life was 5500, 7500 or 11000. For this reason, tables 5 and 6 of UN GTR No. 13 referred to the paragraph of initial pressure cycle life.

“In the original version of UN GTR No. 13, the number of cycles for initial pressure cycle life was 5500, 7500 or 11000”
“therefore table 5 and 6 of UN GTR No. 13 were referring to the paragraph of initial pressure cycle life”
When UN Regulation No. 134 was made, it was agreed to apply 11000 cycles. Supplement 4 to the original series of amendments and supplement 1 to the 01 series of amendments added the option to use 15000 cycles. The 02 series of amendments dropped this option, as UN GTR No. 13 phase 2 decided that 11000 cycles should be sufficient for 25 years.
