Reasons

  • The paragraph 11.1. amendment makes clear that modifications must only be notified when they influence the performance and/or the documentation required by the UN Regulation. Modifications without any influence on a function affecting the fulfilment of the technical requirements of UN Regulation No. 16 do not need to be notified. The aim is to reduce the administrative burden to all stakeholders.

  • For Annex 1A, point 3.3.: with the start of the 07 series of amendments, the requirements for safety-belt reminders have been extended. In the past, paragraph 3.3. of the Information sheet (Certificate) only referred to the driver's seating place, where the reminder was really required. Taking account of the new legal text, it was proposed to bring the Information sheet in line with the legal text again.
