“The safety-belt reminder system needs to be specified in order to know what is present in the vehicle type and what has been approved.”
  • In EU Regulation 2018/858, a single-step type approval requires this information on the safety-belt reminder system in section 9.12.5. of Annex I. A step-by-step type approval does not require it, since it is assumed that the UN Regulation No. 16 approval provides it. The proposal aims to bring UN Regulation No. 16 in line with Annex I of EU Regulation 2018/858.
