WP.29 vote: 200th session (17–20 November 2026)
What changed
  • Paragraph 9.3.2.7. of Annex 4 now sets the accuracy of the air to fuel measurement sensor for three ranges of λ.
  • To fulfil this accuracy, the sensor must be calibrated as specified by the instrument manufacturer.
Why
  • The proposer says that these wordings were omitted by mistake in ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRPE/2025/12.

Q1What changed5 changes

Accuracy of the air to fuel measurement sensor (Annex 4, para. 9.3.2.7.)

Paragraph 9.3.2.7. of Annex 4 now sets the accuracy of the sensor with incorporated electronics. For λ < 2, the accuracy must be within ±3 per cent of reading. For 2 ≤ λ < 5, it must be within ±5 per cent of reading. For 5 ≤ λ, it must be within ±10 per cent of reading. To fulfil this accuracy, the sensor must be calibrated as specified by the instrument manufacturer.

The accuracy of the sensor with incorporated electronics shall be within:

Working party
GRPE, 94th session (March 2026)

Reasons
