Q1What changed4 changes
Shore A hardness of camera and monitor parts outside and inside the vehicle (paras. 6.2.2.1.4. and 6.2.2.1.5.)
Paragraph 6.2.2.1.4. exempts camera and monitor parts outside the vehicle from the relevant provisions if their material has a Shore A hardness below 60. New paragraph 6.2.2.1.5. covers camera and monitor parts inside the vehicle with a Shore A hardness below 50 on a rigid support. For these parts, the requirements of paragraph 6.2.2.1.1. apply only to the support. Before this supplement, for parts with a Shore A hardness below 60 on a rigid support, paragraph 6.2.2.1.4. applied paragraph 6.2.2.1.1. only to the support.
CMS with the lower edge mounted not less than 2 m above the ground: new paragraph number (para. 6.2.2.1.6.)
The text on CMS with a lower edge mounted not less than 2 m above the ground is now paragraph 6.2.2.1.6. instead of 6.2.2.1.5. The 2 m height is with the vehicle under a load corresponding to its maximum technical permissible mass. Its words do not change.
Paragraphs named in a transitional provision of the 07 series (para. 22.33.5.)
Paragraph 22.33.5. now refers to paragraphs 22.33.2. and 22.33.4. instead of paragraphs 22.33.3. and 22.33.4. The other words of paragraph 22.33.5. do not change. Under it, Contracting Parties applying this Regulation must continue to accept some type approvals issued according to the 04, 05 and 06 series of amendments. These are type approvals for the vehicles and devices for indirect vision that the changes of the 07 series of amendments do not affect. Paragraph 22.33.2. is about type approvals to the preceding series of amendments first issued after 1 September 2027. Paragraph 22.33.3. is about type approvals to the 06 series of amendments first issued before 1 September 2027.
